Protecting Water, Preserving Farming
We understand the importance of preserving the safety of this resource in our communities.
GSA is committed to working collaboratively to address water quality in our region. Our farmers are reliant on clean and consistent water sources to grow healthy and nutritious food so it is important we work diligently and cooperatively to protect this vital resource. In addition, we all drink and use water from the same sources so we understand the importance of preserving the safety of this resource in our communities. Through our work with federal, state and regional water agencies, we work toward responsible and actionable water quality laws and regulations that protect this important resource while balancing our ability to continue farming, preserve agricultural jobs and ensure economic stability in our region.
Advancing GSA’s Mission.
There are numerous compelling and challenging issues impacting farmers and farming in our region. Because agriculture is such a big part of life on the Central Coast and an economic driver, we understand that what impacts us, impacts the community.
GSA leadership focuses on helping farmers and farming companies address current challenges, identify emerging concerns and find solutions. Many of these challenges are unique to agriculture requiring a novel approach that will allow farmers to continue to farm, protect the livelihoods of employees and enhance the quality of life in our region.
